We've really enjoyed working with the businesses on St Stephen Street in Stockbridge, Edinburgh to celebrate their achievements in becoming Scotland's first WorldHost accredited retail street.
Designing some brightly coloured post-wraps, banners and street stencils, we hope people will be encouraged to explore the brilliant boutiques, exciting eateries and characterful bars along the street. It's a great place to find unique gifts and make new discoveries when visiting Stockbridge and the business owners really are fanstastically friendly and helpful.
People overuse the phrase 'best kept secret' all the time, but in St Stephen Street, shops and bars and eateries are tucked away between beautiful Georgian residential properties often with the basements occupied by unique shops just below street level. Locals in the know visit often, but not everyone realises the wealth of new discoveries a walk along the whole street can bring.
Supported by the City of Edinburgh Council, business owners in Stockbridge undertook WorldHost training and accreditation to recognise the superb customer service available when you support local, independent retailers. If you haven't experienced St Stephen Street, it's well worth a visit.
